Accommodation

Povlja offers a variety of apartments which are either located right on the harbour in the heart of the village, or have wonderful views of the Adriatic Sea and Dalmatian mountains.

We can either find you accommodation to suit you’re needs, or if you would rather choose yourselves, please feel free to ask for any advice, information or recommendations. Although nowhere is more than a 10 minute walk in Povlja, it might be uphill.

Things to do

All the sea around Povlja is good for swimming, fishing and diving, and the surrounding area has many walks with stunning scenery. There are between 2 and 4 restaurants in the habour depending on the season, 2 supermarkets, a tourist office and a dive centre.

If you rent a car Brac has many sights to offer;

  • Vidova Gora - highest point on all local islands, with amazing views along mainland coast and across Hvar, Korcular and Vis and there is a café.

  • Bol – an old-fashioned style tourism, complete with photogenic monastery on sea edge

  • Blaca, glagolitic hermitage with a monastery from the 16th century.

  • Bobovisca –a pretty seaside quiet town located on the western side of the island.

  • Lozisca – UNESCO village on hill above Bobovisca.

  • Supetar – Main port and cultural center.

Day trips can be arranged for rafting, fish picnics, mainland visits etc.
